Max Carlino

Director of Data Management at Sus Clinicals

Max Carlino, M.S., is a Research Associate in the Department of Radiology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. His primary research goals are to advance efforts toward the advancement of clinically relevant large animal cancer models of lung adenocarcinoma and hepatocellular carcinoma using the Oncopig platform.

Max graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in 2015, then earned his Master of Science in Infectious Disease and Immunology at Loyola University Chicago in 2019 where he explored virulence traits of atypical enterpatogenic E. coli and investigated structural organization of polarity proteins using super-resolution fluorescent imaging. His expertise in chemistry, immunology, cell culture, and experimental design were then applied to the development of porcine models of cancer at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2019. Max’s diverse set of wet laboratory skills will help guide further research and development operations as a team member with Sus Clinicals.
