Jerome Jourquin has extensive experience in the field of data science and breast cancer research. Jerome has held various roles at Susan G. Komen, including Senior Director of Data Science, Senior Manager of Data Science, Manager of Scientific Programs, and Scientific Grants Manager. In these positions, they led initiatives to incorporate big data into breast cancer research and clinical care, coordinated projects to empower the public with health care data, and managed scientific grants. Prior to their work at Komen, Jourquin founded and served as CEO of Studios DJ-music, where they helped clients design and implement web solutions. Jerome also worked as a Research Fellow at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, specializing in biomedical informatics and cancer biology. Jourquin holds a Master's degree in Biomedical Informatics from Vanderbilt and a Doctoral degree from NICN. Jerome has also conducted research at Roswell Park Cancer Institute and worked as a research assistant at INSERM U29.
Jerome Jourquin has a comprehensive education history starting with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Mathematics from Lycée Bossuet Notre-Dame in Paris, which they completed from 1990 to 1993. Jerome then pursued a Master's degree in Cell Biology and Animal Physiology from Université Paris Cité, which they completed from 1995 to 1997. After that, they earned a DEA (Diploma of Advanced Studies) in Cell Physiology from Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) in 1998-1999. Jerome continued their academic journey by completing a Ph.D. in Neuroscience at Aix-Marseille University from 1999 to 2003. Lastly, they obtained a Master's degree in Biomedical Informatics from Vanderbilt University from 2007 to 2010.
