Liza Fuentes

Liza Fuentes currently serves as a Program Officer for Research at The Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation, a position held since March 2024. Prior to this role, Liza was the Director of Research for Health Equity at Boston Medical Center from February 2023 to March 2024. Liza's earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Research Scientist at the Guttmacher Institute from October 2016 to February 2023, and as a Senior Project Manager at Ibis Reproductive Health from 2013 to 2016. Liza began a research-focused career as a Research Fellow at the CUNY Institute for Demographic Research from 2010 to 2013 and as a Senior Research Associate at the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health from 2008 to 2010. Liza holds a DrPH in Public Health with a focus on Demography and Community Health and Social Science from the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy, as well as an MPH in Population and Reproductive Health from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.
