Maria Ximena Sussman

Maria Ximena Sussman, Esq. has a diverse work experience. Maria Ximena is currently the Managing Attorney and Owner of their law firm, Sussman Law Firm, PLLC, which they started in December 2015. Prior to starting their own firm, Maria worked as the In House Counsel and Business Manager at Bliss Design Build, Inc. from September 2015 to January 2018. Maria Ximena also has experience as a Police Officer at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department from September 2009 to June 2012. Before entering the legal profession, Maria worked as a Litigation Paralegal at The Law Offices of Michael A. DeMayo from 2005 to 2009, and at Downer, Walters & Mitchener, P.A. from 2004 to 2005.

Maria Ximena Sussman, Esq. obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Political Science and Government from East Carolina University in the years 2000 to 2004. During the same period, they also earned another Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from the same institution. Following this, Maria attended the Charlotte School of Law from 2011 to 2014, where they obtained their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, specializing in Law.

In addition to their formal education, Maria holds several certifications. Maria Ximena has completed the Basic Law Enforcement Training at the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Academy. Furthermore, they are a Certified Paralegal, certified by the North Carolina State Bar. Maria also holds the designation of Notary Public, granted by the North Carolina Secretary of State.
