David Nelson

David Nelson has a long and varied work experience. David began their career in 2004, working as a Senior Technical Designer for EVB and a Senior Design Technologist for Method. In 2006, they joined Adobe as an Experience Design Lead. In 2009, they joined Microsoft as a Senior Design Manager for Bing and Creative Director for Pioneer Studios. In 2014, they moved to MicroStrategy as Senior Director of the NYC Design Studio. In 2015, they returned to Microsoft as a Senior Director of Design and Principal Product Design Manager. In 2019, they joined Northwestern Mutual as VP, Head of Design. In 2021, they joined Sustain.Life as VP, Head of Design and became a Board Member for the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design.

David Nelson obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design. David also attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for general studies. In 2008, they received a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
