Brendan Cahill is an experienced professional in the fields of energy and engineering, currently serving as the Innovation & International Research Programme Manager at the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) since June 2025. Previously, Brendan held the position of Director of Development - Europe at ORPC from June 2021 to June 2025, and worked as a Business Operations Manager at Exceedence Ltd from September 2019 to June 2021. Brendan has extensive experience with SEAI, having previously served as the Programme Manager for European Performance in Buildings Directive Delivery, where responsibilities included overseeing the Building Energy Rating programme and managing the SEAI Triple E product register. Brendan's background also features roles in ocean energy research, including a Fulbright-Marine Institute Scholarship at Oregon State University and significant research conducted at the Hydraulics & Maritime Research Centre. Brendan holds a PhD in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, both from University College Cork.
