Mariem Matri

Mariem Matri has a diverse work experience spanning from 2016 to present. Mariem began as a summer intern at various organizations such as Station d'appui de Manouba and Société de Mise en Valeur et de Développement Agricole. In 2017, they also completed internships at Institut Pasteur de Tunis and GROUPEMENT DES INDUSTRIES DE CONSERVES ALIMENTAIRES. In 2018, Mariem worked on a project at Deyma focused on reducing the waste rate of natural dates.

Mariem then pursued their education, first at Holberton School, where they completed a Full Stack Web Development course, followed by a Software Engineering program. During this time, they worked on multiple projects using various technologies.

After their education, Mariem joined Lami in 2021 as a Backend Engineer, where they delivered scalable and clean code while optimizing the system's stability and response time. Mariem also developed integrations with third-party APIs and assisted in onboarding new team members. In 2023, they took on the role of Lead Backend Engineer at Lami, leading and mentoring a team, collaborating with product managers, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.

Currently, Mariem is the Backend Lead at Sustainable Square, a global advisory firm specializing in sustainability and ESG. Mariem oversees the development of Squarely ESG, an innovative ESG reporting tool, and works with leading brands across various industries to identify and address ESG risks.
