Brent Anderson

Brent Anderson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Brent currently holds the position of Lead Analyst at Morningstar Sustainalytics since January 2024, after previously serving as a Senior Analyst from May 2022 to January 2024. Prior to that, Brent worked at Lomotex GmbH & Co. KG as a Social and Environmental Compliance Manager from July 2018 to April 2022, where they achieved a successful Grüner Knopf/Green Button audit and a Gold rating in EcoVadis for the company. Brent also served as a Social Compliance Manager at Lomotex from January 2018 to July 2018. Brent was responsible for various compliance standards and attended training courses related to the industry.

Before joining Lomotex, Brent worked as a Discussion Facilitator at Amerika-Gesellschaf Schleswig-Holstein e.V. from May 2016 to June 2017. Brent gained experience in HR and accounting as an HR Manager and Staff Accountant at Easyway International LLC from April 2010 to January 2011. Additionally, Brent worked as a Contracted International Courier at Mainfreight from October 2009 to May 2010, where they made frequent trips to deliver urgent materials to manufacturing facilities in Europe and North Africa.

Brent's early career included roles at Word Made Flesh, where they held the position of International Associate Director of Administration from January 1999 to August 2009. In this role, they managed financial responsibilities, prepared budgets, and reports, and advocated for the adoption of electronic payments. Prior to this, they worked as a Program Manager at Word Made Flesh from October 1997 to January 1999. Brent Anderson completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Sustainability, Society, and the Environment from Kiel University from 2014 to 2017. Prior to this, they studied German at Förde-VHS in Kiel from 2012 to 2015 and at Pankow Volkshochschule in Berlin from 2011 to 2012. Brent also pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Studies Secondary Education at Asbury University from 1991 to 1996. Additionally, Brent holds a CFA ESG Certificate from the CFA Institute, which was obtained in 2023.
