Kenneth Bergsli Hansen has extensive work experience in the field of ESG research and sustainability. Kenneth has worked at Morningstar Sustainalytics since 2009, starting as a Responsible Investment Associate and progressing to roles such as Manager and Associate Director, Research Products. In these positions, they led research and development for various initiatives including the EU Sustainable Finance Action Plan, EU Taxonomy, and Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation. Kenneth also has experience in team management, having built a 40-person research team in Mumbai to support ESG research on the EU Action Plan. Prior to joining Morningstar Sustainalytics, they worked as a Research Assistant for the Global Governance project at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, focusing on global environmental change and governance for sustainable development.
Kenneth Bergsli Hansen has a Bachelor's degree in EU Studies from Roskilde University, which they obtained from 2002 to 2005. Kenneth also holds a Claritas Investment Certificate from CFA Institute, specializing in Investments and Securities, which they obtained in 2013. Kenneth is a CFA Candidate, having completed the necessary requirements at CFA Institute from 2013 to 2014. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Lean Six Sigma International Association of Professionals in June 2017, and Responsible Investment Essentials from Principles for Responsible Investment in December 2012.
