Luke Raftis is an experienced professional in the field of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) research, currently serving as the Director of ESG Sector Research for Energy & Utilities at Morningstar Sustainalytics since February 2019. Prior to this role, Luke held several positions at Sustainalytics, including Associate Director and Manager in Utilities Research. Luke began his career as a Senior Analyst and Analyst at Sustainalytics, and has also worked as a Coordinator at Sustainable Severn Sound and as a Researcher for the Samdrup Jongkhar Initiative at GPI Atlantic. Luke's early experience includes serving as a Project Coordinator at the University of Toronto’s Department of Facilities & Services. Luke holds a Master of Science in Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability from Blekinge Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Engineering and Society in Mechanical Engineering from McMaster University.
