Nicole Laborde

Nicole Laborde is a Senior Design Researcher at Sutherland Labs since February 2020, with previous experience as a Design Researcher at The Curious Company and as a Research Consultant for the San Francisco Department of Public Health. Laborde has led human-centered design research initiatives focusing on reproductive health among Latino youth and low-income mothers. Notable prior roles include Research Analyst at RTI International, where coordination of an interdisciplinary team and management of international qualitative studies took place, and a Post-doctoral fellow at the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation, examining mothers and alcohol use. Educational achievements include a PhD in Anthropology from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, and an MPH from Columbia University.
