Dawei Yuan

Dawei Yuan is an accomplished professional in the field of biopharmaceuticals, currently serving as the Director of Upstream Process Development at Sutro Biopharma, Inc. since September 2015. Yuan has advanced through various roles at Sutro Biopharma, including Principal Scientist, Senior Scientist, and Scientist. Prior experience includes a position as a Scientist at Solazyme, Inc. from March 2011 to August 2015, and a Research Assistant role at the University of Toledo from January 2004 to December 2010. Yuan's career began as a Research Scientist at Cygen Biotechnology Co. Ltd. from July 2001 to December 2003. Dawei Yuan holds a Doctorate in Bioengineering from The University of Toledo and a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemical Engineering from East China University of Science and Technology.
