Vice President, Clinical Operations at Sutro Biopharma

Greet Heremans has extensive work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Greet currently holds the position of Vice President, Clinical Operations at Sutro Biopharma, Inc. Prior to this, they worked at Genentech, where they held various leadership roles. As Sr Director, Global Head Biomarker Operations, they developed a vision and strategy for the global Cross-Therapeutic Biomarker Operations department and raised funding for an immersive patient experience pilot. As Director, Global Operations Franchise Lead Oncology, they contributed to the delivery of the Cancer Immunotherapy and Phase I portfolio and supported the approval of atezolizumab in bladder cancer. Additionally, as Associate Director, Global Therapeutic Area Lead Cancer Immunotherapy - Oncology Operations, they played a key role in the design and delivery of Breast Cancer trials, leading to the launch of pertuzumab in Metastatic Breast Cancer. Before their time at Genentech, Greet worked at Roche Pharmaceuticals as a Global Operations Program Leader / Program Manager Oncology and later as a Global Studies Leader / Project Manager, where they provided operational input, developed strategic plans, and led cross-functional teams for clinical studies. Greet began their career at IQVIA as a Clinical Research Associate and later took on roles as a Clinical Team Leader and Project Manager, partnering with pharmaceutical companies to design and deliver successful clinical trials.

Greet Heremans has a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Antwerp, which they obtained from 1991 to 1994. Greet then went on to earn a Master of Pharmacy degree from the same university, completing their studies from 1994 to 1997. Additionally, they pursued an Advanced Master in Industrial Pharmacy from the University of Antwerp between 1997 and 1998. Later on, Greet attended the University of San Francisco, where they completed an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) program from 2018 to 2020.
