Matt Pate

Matt Pate has extensive work experience in maintenance and facilities management. Matt started their career at USN as a Lead Boiler Room Technician, responsible for maintaining and operating boilers, turbines, generators, and desalinization units. After working for USN for five years, they joined Boehringer Ingelheim Fremont as a Lead/Master Maintenance Technician. Matt worked in this role for five years before joining Intarcia Therapeutics, Inc. as a Process and Utility Tech IV for a year and a half. Later, Matt joined Allergan as a Maintenance Lead, where they worked for two years. Currently, they are working at Sutro Biopharma, Inc., first as a Facilities Manager for three months and then as an Associate Director of cGMP Facilities and Maintenance. Recently, they have been promoted to a higher role as a Senior Manager of cGMP Maintenance and Facilities.

From 2005 to 2006, Matt Pate attended the Naval Nuclear Power Program. During this period, they focused on studying Mechanical Engineering and Nuclear Engineering, although they did not obtain a degree.
