Thomas Steenpass

Thomas Steenpass has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Thomas is currently the Head of Strategic CMO Alliances, Europe at Sutro Biopharma, Inc. Since joining in January 2023. Previously, they worked at Sobi - Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB (publ) as the Head of CMC from April 2021 to January 2023. Prior to that, they held several roles at Bayer Pharmaceuticals from 2006 to 2023, including Director Global Manufacturing Science and Technology, Biotech, Drug Product, Head MSAT DP Parenterals, Associate Director MS&T Drug Product, Lab Head, Production Technology, and Lab Head, Formulation Development. Thomas also worked at Roche as a Lab Head, Formulation Development from August 2004 to July 2006.

Thomas Steenpass obtained a PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology from The University of Freiburg, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Prior to this, they pursued their undergraduate studies in Pharmacy at the University of Düsseldorf, from 1996 to 2000. No specific field of study was mentioned for their pharmacy degree.
