Vasanth Ramamurthy

Vasanth Ramamurthy's work experience includes a role as Director of Business Development at Sutro Biopharma, Inc. starting from November 2022. Prior to this, they were an Associate Director of CMC Strategy and Program Management at Sangamo Therapeutics, Inc. from June 2020 to November 2022. Vasanth Ramamurthy began their career at Institut de recherches cliniques de Montréal (IRCM) where they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow from October 2012 to March 2014. Prior to that, they were a PhD Candidate in the Cellular Neurobiology Laboratory at IRCM from September 2006 to September 2012.

Vasanth'searly experience includes working as an Industrial Research Trainee in the Department of Pharmacology at Merck from May 2005 to August 2005.

Vasanth Ramamurthy earned a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Biochemistry through the Co-op Programme, with a focus in Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, from McMaster University. Vasanth completed this program from 2001 to 2006. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at McGill University from 2006 to 2013. Vasanth'sPhD was within the Department of Medicine, specifically in the Division of Experimental Medicine. In 2014, they obtained a certificate in Managing Science the Biotech Industry from Keck Graduate Institute.
