Cynthia Lee is responsible for Sutter Health’s development and oversight of an enterprise-wide strategic vision, market expansion and growth initiatives, business development, and merger and acquisition opportunities. She also leads an annual strategic planning cycle dedicated to setting new and evolved organizational opportunities, including product and network development and the implementation of system-wide strategic initiatives. In partnership with clinical leadership, she leads the ambulatory and service line development and diversification portfolio.
She has been with Sutter Health collectively for over 15 years, starting her career at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center and eventually joining Sutter Shared Services in strategy and business development. Prior to returning to Sutter, Lee was the Vice President of Delivery System Strategy and Business Development for Kaiser Foundation Hospitals and Health Plan’s Northern California Region. In addition, she has led her own healthcare strategy consulting firm.
She earned her bachelor's from the University of California, Berkeley and master's degrees in Public Administration and Health from the California State University. In 2018 Lee was accepted and is now an alumnus of the Carol Emmott Fellowship for women leaders in healthcare.
