Riina Valu

Riina Valu has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Riina started their career as a Trainee at Tana Oy in 1998 and worked there until 2004. Riina also briefly worked as a Welfare Assistant at Merimiespalvelutoimisto (MEPA) in 2003. In 2004, they joined Speed-Palvelut Oy as a Freight Forwarder for a few months. Riina then joined Metsä Board and held various positions including Transport Planner, Manager, Logistics Analyses, Business Controller (Logistics), Logistics Development Specialist, Market Support Manager, and Sales and Supply Chain Controller. Riina worked at Metsä Board from 2004 to 2019. After that, they joined Vapo Oy as a Business Controller, focusing on Supply Chain Management from 2019 to 2020. Currently, Riina is working at Suunto, where they have taken on roles such as Business Controller, Global Sales; Sales Operations Lead, and is currently serving as the Head of Sales Operations.

Riina Valu completed their Master of Engineering in Business Informatics at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Specialist Qualification in Leadership and Management (Johtamisen erikoisammattitutkinto) from Taitotalo from 2016 to 2018. Riina Valu also holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences, which they earned from 2000 to 2004. Riina attended Jyväskylä Business School from 1998 to 2000, and Jyväskylän Lyseon Lukio (high school) from 1995 to 1998, but their degree or field of study for those educational experiences was not provided.
