Thalita M.

Thalita M. is an experienced music educator and conductor with a focus on violin instruction. Currently serving as the conductor of the string orchestra and a violin teacher at Havelock North High School, Thalita also teaches violin at Napier Girls High School, Taradale High School, and has been an itinerant teacher since February 2022. Additionally, Thalita runs Thalita Music Studio and has been a membership associate with the Suzuki Association of the Americas since 1999. Previous teaching roles include violin lessons at Hastings Girls High School, Suzuki Violin Hawkes Bay, and Timaru School of Music, along with extensive experience at Colégio Cruzeiro from 2001 to 2017. Thalita holds a Bachelor of Music in Performance (Violin) from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro and a Teaching Degree in Art Education (Music) from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.
