Senior Reservoir Engineer at Sval Energi

Emma Reinholds has extensive work experience in the field of reservoir engineering. Emma currently holds the position of Senior Reservoir Engineer at Sval Energi, where they started in 2022. Prior to this, Emma worked at Universitetet i Stavanger (UiS) as the Board Leader for the Advisory board for the IER Institute, starting in 2021.

Before their role at UiS, Emma worked at ONE-Dyas as a Senior Reservoir Engineer from 2020 to 2022. In this role, they had various responsibilities such as R&D, reservoir simulation, production management, EOR technology, reserves reporting, drilling, well development and production technology. Emma was also involved in building reservoir models and delivering production profiles for decision-making purposes.

From 2017 to 2020, Emma worked at RESMAN Wireless Reservoir Surveillance. Emma started as the Well Technology Discipline Lead, where they developed interpretation tool kits for tracer responses and trained staff in analytical methods. Emma later became a Senior Well Technology Engineer, focusing on interpreting inflow tracer responses and contributing to finding new discoveries and workflows.

Emma's work experience also includes positions at Shell. Emma was an Ormen Lange Reservoir Engineer from 2016 to 2017, a Reservoir Engineer within RE Solutions from 2015 to 2016, and part of the Upstream International Reserves Team from 2013 to 2015. Emma also served as a Draugen Reservoir Engineer, Onfield Production Technologist, and Non-Operated Assets Reservoir Engineer at Shell.

Additionally, Emma has held various roles at A/S Norske Shell, including Staff Representative from 2012 to 2015, Committee Member for the Shell Young Professionals from 2009 to 2011, and Committee Member of the Diversity Action Team in Norske Shell from 2009 to 2011. Emma also had an internship at Kockums AB from 2007 to 2009.

Throughout their career, Emma has gained experience in reservoir engineering, well technology, production management, reserves reporting, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Emma Reinholds completed their Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Adelaide from 2003 to 2008. In 2006, they also attended the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), where they studied Subsea Systems. Additionally, in November 2021, they obtained a certification in Petrel Reservoir Engineering (Series 1-3) from NExT Schlumberger.
