Juan Fonseca

Juan Fonseca has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Juan is currently working as the Sales Strategy and Operations Director at Swan Bitcoin since June 2023. From May 2021 to July 2023, they were a Founding Partner - Digital Transformation at Optimus Metrics. Juan also served as the Director of Business Development at Galoy from July 2022 to March 2023, where they focused on building Bitcoin and Lightning banking infrastructure. Previously, they were the CEO of Max Warehouse, an E-commerce startup, from September 2018 to May 2021. Before that, they held multiple roles at Banco GyT Continental, including CTO - SVP Technology and Innovation, Head of Innovation, Operations Director, and Technology Director - Insurance, from 2012 to 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Corporate Solutions Manager at Millicom International Cellular (Tigo) for a year. Juan's early career includes positions at AT&T, where they served as a Regional Senior Marketing Manager and Product Marketing Manager, among other roles, from 2007 to 2011.

Juan Fonseca has a solid education history, having obtained multiple degrees in various fields. Juan first attended the Universidad del Valle de Guatemala from 2000 to 2005, where they earned a Licentiate degree in Electrical Engineering. Juan then pursued further studies and completed a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management at the University of Southern California from 2006 to 2007. Finally, Juan undertook an Acton MBA program at UFM from 2016 to 2018, specializing in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies and earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
