Ran Porat

Ran Porat has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Ran started their career in the Israel Defense Forces, where they served as a Combat Intelligence Collection Officer and later transitioned into a training role, mentoring and coaching fighter teams and officers.

After their military service, Ran Porat joined Tel Aviv University as a Student Research Assistant in The Cognitive Psychology Lab. There, they managed the laboratory, oversaw experiments, and assisted with analyzing results.

Following their time at the university, Ran Porat worked at CymbIoT as a Software Developer, specializing in server application development using C# and C++. Ran also had experience in client-side development using Winforms, WPF, and JS/HTML. As the Software Development Team Lead, they led the development team, planned sprints and tasks, reviewed development outputs, and managed server application releases. Their goal was to ensure high-quality, scalable, and efficient software solutions for clients.

Later, Ran Porat joined Cellebrite as a Senior Software Developer. In this role, they designed and built the company's desktop forensic app using C#/WPF. Ran also researched and integrated new features, collaborated with different teams, recruited talented developers, and mentored them for their growth. Their objective was to deliver top-notch software solutions that met the needs of the company and its clients.

Most recently, Ran Porat became a Technical Lead at SWAPP. In this role, they are responsible for designing, building, and overseeing the development of software systems that are crucial to the Swapp ecosystem. Ran also serves as a mentor to junior software developers and colleagues new to the tech industry, guiding them on their path to success.

Ran Porat's education history begins with their enrollment at Ironi Alef Tel-Aviv High School from 2001 to 2004. Here, they focused on studying computer science. After graduating from high school, they pursued their higher education at Tel Aviv University from 2011 to 2014. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Communication. Seeking to enhance their skills in computer software engineering, Ran joined the Experis Academy in 2014 and completed an Advanced Developers Workshop in 2015.
