Caitlin Goodman

Caitlin Goodman is an experienced librarian and archivist currently serving as the Archivist at the Friends Historical Library of Swarthmore College since May 2022. Prior to this role, Caitlin spent nearly a decade at the Free Library of Philadelphia, where positions included Curator of the Rare Book Department and Rare Book Librarian. Additional experience includes work as a columnist for Literary Hub, providing readers' advisory as "The Grumpy Librarian," and contributions to the Philadelphia City Paper. Caitlin also held various archival positions, such as Feinberg Project Archivist at Columbia University's Rare Book & Manuscript Library and Assistant Archivist for the Children's Literature Research Collection at the Free Library. Caitlin's educational background includes a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Religion from Oberlin College.
