James Slezak

James Slezak is the CEO of Swayable, a social media analytics company. James was previously the Vice President and Chief of Operations of NYT Global at The New York Times. James has also co-founded Peers.org, an organization representing participants in the sharing economy, and served as its Chairman from 2013 to 2014. James is also the founder and managing partner of New Economy Lab, a social innovation and digital strategy firm, and a founding partner of Purpose, where they led business strategy and innovation. Prior to that, they worked as a project lead at McKinsey & Company from 2007 to 2010, and as the head of digital at Win Back Respect, an anti-war organization, from 2003 to 2004.

James Slezak is the founder of the W18 batch at Y Combinator. James has a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics from Cornell University and a BSc (Hons I) in Mathematics from the University of Sydney.
