Akbar Saliev

Akbar Saliev has held various roles in the finance and travel industries since 2008. Akbar began their career as an Intern at PwC Russia in 2008, followed by a Staff Accountant role at PLAGO LTD. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a Private Investor for both HSBC and FINAM. In 2012, they co-founded Tiamo, where they served as Co-Founder & CCO. In 2014, they co-founded TripInDeal and held the role of Co-Founder & COO. Since 2017, they have been Co-Founder & COO of SwayPay, a company rethinking the $8T travel industry.

Akbar Saliev obtained their Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from Plekhanov Russian University of Economics between 2002 and 2007. Akbar then continued their education at the same university, obtaining a Master's degree in Accounting and Finance in 2009. In 2017-2018, they attended Stanford University, where they completed the Stanford Innovation and Entrepreneurship Professional Certificate Program.
