Heather Huerta

Heather Huerta is an accomplished Natural Resources Director with extensive experience at SWCA Environmental Consultants since February 2011, where responsibilities have included overseeing sensitive species surveys, habitat assessments, and compliance monitoring as a project manager. Previous roles at SWCA included Natural Resources Specialist Level V, ensuring natural resource compliance during construction, and earlier positions involved data entry and analysis at Karen Aznavoorian and Associates. Educational background includes a Master's degree in Conservation Biology from the University of New South Wales and Victoria University of Wellington, along with a Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Conservation Biology from the University of California, Davis. Heather also gained early experience as a Biologist Intern at Point Loma Nazarene University.
