Caitlin Chaney, PWS has a diverse work experience background. Caitlin began their career as a Herbarium Secretary at Texas A&M University in 2007 and held this role until 2010. In 2010, they interned at the Agricultural and Natural Resources Policy Program, where they corresponded with constituents, assisted with legislative research, executed administrative responsibilities, and gave tours of the U.S. Capitol. From 2011 to 2011, Caitlin worked as a Teaching Assistant at Texas A&M University. Caitlin then joined Accutest Laboratories in 2012 as a Team Leader/Lab Analyst and worked there until 2014. In 2013, they became an Administrative Assistant at Springtime House in Romania - USA, Inc., where they remained until 2015. Caitlin then worked at New Tech Global as a Staff Scientist from 2014 to 2015. Currently, they are an Associated Project Scientist at SWCA Environmental Consultants, where they have been since 2015.

Caitlin Chaney, PWS completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Rangeland Ecology and Management from Texas A&M University, College, where they attended from 2007 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, Caitlin has obtained several certifications to further their expertise in the field. Caitlin earned the designation of Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) from the Society of Wetland Scientists - Professional Certification Program in April 2021. Prior to that, they obtained certifications as a Wetland Hydrologist, Wetland Hydric Soil Investigator, and Wetland Botanist from The Swamp School, LLC in November 2020, October 2020, and July 2020, respectively. Caitlin also holds a certification as a Certified Inspector of Sediment and Erosion Control, which they obtained from CISEC, INC in September 2019.
