Quinn Zimmerman

Quinn Zimmerman has a diverse work experience in various environmental and sustainability-related roles. They began their career at Michigan State University as an Undergraduate Research Assistant, focusing on researching and writing a proposal on urban agriculture resilience. They also presented their findings at a research forum.

Quinn then worked as a Public Affairs and Outreach Intern at the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy. In this role, they collaborated on diverse projects, including water sampling, environmental justice, and tribal policy databases. They also assisted in managing projects and facilitated meetings.

They further gained experience as a Freelance Journalist at Great Lakes Echo, where they contributed articles. They later joined the West Michigan Sustainable Business Forum as a Communications and Social Media Intern. Here, they curated social media content, created newsletters, and assisted in coordinating events and membership outreach.

Currently, Quinn is employed at SWCA Environmental Consultants, where they started as a Senior Marketing Specialist. They specialize in internal communications, project coordination, writing articles and newsletters, and managing databases. They are also involved in companywide fundraising/volunteer events and serve on the Gives Back Committee and the Sustainability Steering Committee.
