Alexander de Loor

Alexander de Loor is a CFD Simulation Specialist currently employed at Sweco, starting in January 2024, having previously held the same title at One Simulations from May 2023 to January 2024. Prior to this, Alexander served as a Project Leader in Fire Engineering at Efectis from July 2022 to April 2023 and worked as an advisor and researcher at Deltares from October 2011 to February 2022, focusing on hydrodynamics associated with hydraulic infrastructure. In addition, Alexander’s experience includes an internship at Deltares, where a study on ship levelling forces was conducted, and a role as an Assistant Project Engineer at Damen Shipyards, emphasizing ship acoustics. Academic achievements include an MSc in Applied Physics and a BSc in Applied Physics from Delft University of Technology, alongside experiences as a student mentor and secretary of the board for a student society.
