Mårten Vågerö

Mårten Vågerö has a comprehensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Mårten worked at Sobi - Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB (publ) from 2008 onwards, starting as a Global Product Statistician and later progressing to the role of Head of Biostatistics, Data Management and Medical Writing. In 2022, they became the VP and Head of Statistical, Epidemiology, and Data Sciences at Sobi. Prior to joining Sobi, they had a significant tenure at AstraZeneca R&D from 2001 to 2008. During their time at AstraZeneca, they served as the Global Product Statistician, providing statistical leadership and oversight for various projects. Mårten also held the role of Clinical Information Science Director, leading a team of 30 members across different areas. Before joining AstraZeneca, Mårten worked at Pharmacia & Upjohn as a Statistician, where they played a crucial role in the submission and approval process for Fragmin maintenance treatment. Overall, Mårten has gained extensive experience in statistical methodologies, clinical development, and project management throughout their career.

Mårten Vågerö received their Ph.L in Mathematical Statistics from Stockholm University, completing their education from 1987 to 2001.
