Global Head Of External Communications at Swedish Orphan Biovitrum

Matthew Tooth has extensive experience in communications and public relations. Matthew currently serves as the Global Head of External Communications at Sobi - Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB (publ), where they lead strategic communications for various products and oversees corporate brand communications. Prior to this role, they were the Global Communications Director at Sobi, where they developed and implemented a new brand strategy and successfully launched disease awareness campaigns and digital health products. Before joining Sobi, Matthew worked at EasyPark Group as the Group PR and Social Media Manager, where they launched new products in multiple markets and implemented successful PR, public affairs, and social media strategies. Matthew has also worked as a PR and Communications Advisor at UNSW Australia, a Consultant at Weber Shandwick, and an Account Coordinator at Ogilvy PR Australia. Matthew began their career at Caritas Australia as a Human Resources Officer. Throughout their career, Matthew has been recognized for their outstanding work, including winning a Gold Prize at the 2020 Swedish Content Awards.

Matthew Tooth has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Work & Organizational Studies from the University of Sydney, which they completed from 2007 to 2009. Matthew then pursued a Master of Communication Management at the University of Technology Sydney from 2010 to 2012. In 2012, they attended Uppsala University for an unspecified program. In 2018, they took a short course in Strategic Public Affairs and Government Relations at The London School of International Communication. Most recently, in 2021, they completed a program in Brand Strategy and Storytelling at Hyper Island.
