Margareta Ottosson

Margareta Ottosson currently serves as Project Manager for the Movement Policy Framework at The Standing Commission of the Red Cross and Red Crescent since September 2024. Previously, Margareta has held various significant roles at the Swedish Red Cross, including Organizational Developer and Project Manager for National Society Development and Local Action since January 2021. Margareta’s extensive experience in organizational development includes positions such as National Society Development Advisor at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and Acting Head of Protection at Röda Korset. With a career that spans over two decades in the Red Cross movement, Margareta has contributed to numerous initiatives, including humanitarian strategy development, emergency project management, and advocacy for children affected by armed conflict. Margareta holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and French from Växjö University and has pursued several advanced training and educational opportunities in related fields.
