Maximilian Speier

Maximilian Speier is an experienced professional in the aerospace and engineering fields, currently conducting a master thesis at the Institute of Aerospace Medicine of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) since May 2023. Simultaneously, Maximilian serves as a Systems Engineer for sounding rockets and stratospheric balloons at the SSC - Swedish Space Corporation since March 2022, having previously held the role of Project Manager for Project HAMMER and a Student Research Assistant at Fraunhofer ILT, where involvement in additive manufacturing and laser material deposition was notable. Additional experience includes an internship in Production Management and Procurement at Arianegroup and earlier research assistant roles at Werkzeugmaschinenlabor WZL der RWTH Aachen. Maximilian holds a Master of Science in Spacecraft Design from Luleå University of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University, having co-authored a published paper in the Journal of Laser Applications.
