Bryan Burlingame has worked in various roles since 2011. Bryan started as a Head Chef at the Martini and Sushi Lounge, followed by a Volunteer Internship at the National Weather Service in 2013. In 2014, they became a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Consultant - Data Analyst/Python Developer and then as a Senior Data Analyst and Data Analyst at Wantable, Inc. In 2016, they were a Data Consultant and Data Analyst at Shyft Technologies Inc. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Northwestern Mutual and then as a Founder at BetChalk, where they built a python API deployed to elastic beanstalk and a mobile app written in React Native launched to Apple and Google stores through Expo. Bryan currently holds the role of Principal Data Engineer at Sweet, starting in 2022.
Bryan Burlingame attended Lakeview High School from 2003 to 2007. Bryan then attended Macomb Community College from 2007 to 2010, where they earned an Associate's degree in Culinary Arts/Chef Training. Bryan then attended Central Michigan University from 2011 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Meteorology/Mathematics. Finally, they attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 2014 to 2016, where they earned a Master's degree in Mathematics with a concentration in Atmospheric Science. Additionally, Burlingame has obtained three certifications: a Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2018, a Certificate of Completion: Data Assimilation and Research Test-bed Tutorial from NCAR - The National Center for Atmospheric Research in July 2015, and a Certificate of Completion: Weather Research & Forecasting Model Tutorial from NCAR - The National Center for Atmospheric Research in July 2014.
