Francis (Cong) Wang

Francis (Cong) Wang has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Francis (Cong) is the Founder and Executive Venture Coach at FW.VISION since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as an Algorithmic Trading Analyst at Francis C. Wang Ltd., where they developed multi-exchange crypto arbitrage bot and implemented stock screeners. Francis (Cong) also worked as a Staff Software Engineer at Swell Energy.

In 2021, Francis served as an Alumni Mentor Advisor (Entrepreneurship) at Conrad School of Entrepreneurship and Business, where they mentored undergraduate student startup ventures and provided resources and network contacts. Francis (Cong) also worked at Opus One Solutions as a Senior Software Developer, Product Manager, and Team Lead. During their tenure, they developed power flow optimized DER participation simulation tools, an energy trading platform, and designed micro-service architecture for an electrical grid management platform.

Earlier in their career, Francis was the President and Innovation Consultant at Synchronous Incubation and Development Labs Inc. Francis (Cong) advised startup companies on go-to-market strategies and managed software development teams. Francis (Cong) also worked as a Full Stack Developer at UDIO AgTech, where they developed a backend system and deployed machine learning models to help farmers with irrigation schedules.

Francis served as the Director and Senior Technical Advisor at INVUZE™ Digital Media Solutions, Inc., where they advised the CEO and CTO on product-market fit and technology adoption. Francis (Cong) also managed the deployment of the INVUZE platform on Microsoft Azure. Additionally, they were the Technical Co-Founder at Verse Software Lab Inc. and Tactic Hive Entertainment Inc., where they developed various applications and platforms.

Throughout their career, Francis has demonstrated expertise in software development, entrepreneurship, and mentoring.

Francis (Cong) Wang's education history begins with their Bachelor's degree. Francis (Cong) attended the University of Waterloo from 2010 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor of Mathematics in Honours Computer Science.

In 2017, Francis obtained a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from the Scrum Alliance. Then, in 2018, they completed the ICBS005: Climate Change: Financial Risks and Opportunities course from Imperial College London.

In 2019, Francis attended HEC Paris and completed the Managing Innovation and Design Thinking Specialization, with a focus on entrepreneurship.

Moving on to more recent times, Francis enrolled in the Quantic School of Business and Technology in 2022, where they pursued an Executive MBA degree. Additionally, they pursued several other specializations and certifications in sustainable development. These include a specialization in Sustainable Cities and Communities from Lund University, a specialization in Sustainable Development from Erasmus University Rotterdam, a certification in Sustainable & Inclusive Landscapes from Wageningen University & Research, a specialization in Sustainable Cities from The Johns Hopkins University, and a specialization in Decentralized Finance (DeFi) from Duke University.

Furthermore, Francis pursued a specialization in Hotel/Motel Administration/Management from ESSEC Business School, as well as a specialization in Futures Thinking from Coursera.

Aside from their formal education, Francis also obtained certifications in various fields. These include a Capital Markets & Securities Analyst certification from Corporate Finance Institute® (CFI) in 2021, a Diploma in Life Coach Practitioner from Achology in 2021, and a Certificate in CBT Practitioner, also from Achology, in 2021.

In 2021, Francis completed a Nanodegree program in AI for Trading and Data Engineering from Udacity as well.
