Phillip Westerby

Phillip Westerby has extensive work experience in the renewable energy industry. Phillip is currently working as the Chief of Project Execution at Swift Current Energy since 2022. Prior to this, they held various roles at EDP Renewables North America, including Executive Vice President, Technical from 2016 to 2022. During their time at EDP Renewables, they successfully led teams in the origination, marketing, development, design, construction, and commissioning of large commercial utility-scale renewable energy generation projects across the U.S. Phillip also served as Director of Project Management, Director of Construction, and Construction Project Manager at EDP Renewables. Before joining EDP Renewables, Phillip worked at Koch Industries as an Engineering Systems Manager from 1996 to 1999.

Phillip Westerby earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University. Phillip attended the university from 1991 to 1996. Later, they pursued higher education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Global Energy from the University of Houston, C.T. Bauer College of Business. Phillip attended this program from 2012 to 2014.
