Fred Chan

Fred Chan's work experience begins in 2005 as a QA Lead at Tira Wireless. Fred then worked as a QA Manager/Lead at Five Mobile Inc. from 2008 to 2011. From 2011 to 2016, Fred was a Senior QA Lead at Zynga. Fred joined Nascent in 2016 as a Senior QA, where they were responsible for leading the QA team for the Telus MyTelus App and implementing various testing strategies and tools. In 2018, Fred joined TradeRev as a Software Development Engineer in Test. At TradeRev, they focused on developing and improving test processes. In 2020, they moved to eBay as an Automation Software Engineer 3, working on the quality assurance of the eBay Android App. Currently, Fred holds the position of Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at Swift Medical, starting in April 2023.

Fred Chan has a degree in Honors Kinesiology from Western University. In 2015-2016, they obtained a Full Stack Web Development Certification in Computer Software Engineering from Free Code Camp. Additionally, Fred has obtained multiple certifications, including "Algorithmic Trading and Finance Models with Python, R, and Stata Essential Training" and "Test Automation with Python: 8 Additional Appium Features" from LinkedIn in September 2022 and June 2022, respectively. Fred has also completed various other certifications related to Android app development and programming from both LinkedIn and Codecademy, with the most recent one obtained in October 2021.
