Valerie Michel is the Director of Network Operations - EMEA at Swift Navigation. Prior to their current role, Valerie was a Substitute Teacher - Math & Physics at LYCEE FRANCAIS DE SAN FRANCISCO from January 2017 to December 2018. Before that, they were the Program Director for GeoSocle at IGN, Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière from January 2015 to December 2016.

Valerie started their career at IGN (Institut national de l'information géographique et Forestière) in January 2001 as an Engineer at the Department of Geodetic Information. In January 2004, they were promoted to Head of Department of Special Works and held that role until December 2014. From January 2001 to December 2003, Valerie was the Engineer at the Department of Geodetic Information.

Valerie Michel has a degree in engineering from Ecole nationale des Sciences géographiques and a diploma in geodesy and geomatics engineering from the University of New Brunswick. Valerie also has a background in mathematics and physics from Lycée Thiers, Marseille.
