Chermaine Lee has a strong background in business development, market analysis, and stakeholder management. Chermaine began their career at Celent, part of Oliver Wyman, where they worked as an Analyst in Securities & Investments and later as a Business Development Manager, focusing on regional opportunities and client events. During their time at Celent, they organized the inaugural Model Insurer Asia Summit, which attracted high-level representatives from global and local insurance companies and banks.

In 2012, Chermaine joined SWIFT as a Senior Market Analyst, where they were responsible for generating value propositions and strategies for the Financial Market Infrastructure segment. Chermaine also played a key role in SWIFT's entry into the real-time payments space and managed the successful New Payments Platform tender. In 2015, Chermaine transitioned to the role of Senior Business Analyst for the New Payments Platform Programme Team, overseeing stakeholder management and financial tracking.

Chermaine then progressed to become the Director of APAC Securities Markets at SWIFT, where they led business development efforts and managed relationships with major Market Infrastructures such as the RBA, RBNZ, ASX, and the New Payments Platform. In their most recent role at SWIFT, Chermaine served as the Director of Business Development and Go-to-Market, responsible for account management, GTM, and business development strategies for Market Infrastructures and global transaction banks. Chermaine also provided market expertise, developed sales collateral, and contributed to thought leadership papers to support SWIFT's strategy execution and customer interactions.

Chermaine Lee holds a BSc in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), which they obtained between the years 2002 and 2005. In 2018, Chermaine obtained a certification in Business Analytics from the Centre for Continuing Education.
