Justin Ashford

Justin Ashford has a diverse work experience spanning from 2001 to the present. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) - Retail Growth at Swiftly, starting in October 2022. Prior to this role, they worked at Amazon for four years. At Amazon, they initially served as a Technical Program Manager (TPM) - OpsTechIT Mobility & Devices from May 2018 to October 2022. In this role, they oversaw program management efforts for the company's mobile scanners worldwide. Justin led process improvements for physical hardware, operating systems, and mobile device management platforms. Later, at Amazon, they took up the role of Software Development Manager (SDM) - Whole Foods Retail Infrastructure from June 2018 to May 2021. In this role, they managed a team of engineers, handled project and product management for technology operations, and supervised platforms supporting point-of-sale assets in the US and UK.

Before joining Amazon, from 2016 to 2018, Justin had their entrepreneurial venture called New Pond Consulting. During this period, they provided program management services for CenturyLink Business Services, leading high-profile projects such as the Minnesota Vikings Practice Facility and The District, Detroit project.

Prior to their entrepreneurship, Justin worked as the VP, Global Field Services at Austin Tele-Services (ATS) from April 2014 to July 2016. Justin also served as the Director of Technology at Perot Museum of Nature and Science from January 2011 to April 2014.

Before these roles, they held positions at Insight as a Partner Manager from May 2010 to January 2011, and as a Senior Project Manager from August 2009 to May 2010. Justin was a Senior Project Manager - AT&T at Technisource from October 2008 to August 2009. Justin also had experience at Intellys Corp., where they served as the Director of Solutions Development from May 2008 to August 2008, and as the Director of Operations from January 2007 to May 2008. Other early roles include Services Consultant at NEC Unified Solutions from November 2004 to January 2007, and Project Manager at Cingular Wireless from 2001 to 2004.

Justin attended Southern Methodist University - Cox School of Business from 1998 to 2001, where they obtained an MBA degree with a focus on Entrepreneurship and IT Management.

From 2004 to 2008, they attended SMU Dedman School of Law, where they earned a JD degree in the field of Law.

In their earlier years, from 1992 to 1995, Justin Ashford attended Hillsdale College, where they obtained a BA degree in Political Economy.

Additionally, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2000, they obtained the PMP (Project Management Professional) certification from the Project Management Institute. In 2013, they earned the IT Information Library Foundations Certification (ITIL) from ITIL. In 2016, they completed the "Become an Agile Project Manager" program from Lynda.com. In 2017, they completed the "Program Management Foundations" certification from LinkedIn. In 2019, they obtained the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). In 2020, they became a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) through (ISC)². Most recently, in 2021, they completed the "Prepare for the PMI ACP Certification" program from LinkedIn.
