As a Release Engineer at Swimlane you will be deeply involved with the reliability, availability, security, quality, and extensibility of our offerings. Those with a strong ownership mentality will be successful in this role. You will work very closely with other Engineering, Product, and Support resources to quickly advance the number and state of our offerings. You will increase the quality and release capabilities of our services.
This position will be based in the US and only US residents at time of application will be considered. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Engineering.
Job Requirements:
4+ years of experience with testing frameworks including platforms such as GitHub Actions, Pytest, Mocha, Cypress, etc
4+ years of experience developing in at least one common, general language (i.e., C, C#, Java, Python, etc)
4+ years of experience as a quality and/or release engineer, or a software development engineering in test (SDET)
4+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Compute Platform (GCP)
Good understanding of and ability to work with Hashicorp Terraform
Strong understanding of modern continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) platforms (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab pipelines, AWS CodeBuild/Codedeploy/Codepipeline, etc)
Strong familiarity with managing Kubernetes resources, containers, etc.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment that also has security and compliance requirements
Must be available for ad-hoc on-call escalations. Currently, there is no regular rotation (as exists with Swimlane’s SRE team); instead, this need typically appears when there is major or hotfix release activity.

The US hiring range for this position is $110,000-$140,000/year and is dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.
