Brian Moeskau

Brian Moeskau is a Principal Engineer at Team Topia since 2022. Prior to that, they were the Organizer for the Bleeding Edge Web Meetup since 2010, which they founded and still organizes with over 4,100 members. From 2016-2022, they were the Principal Engineer and Director of Engineering at findhelp. From 2013-2016, they were the Cofounder and CTO of Level Seven, where they led a small team of 3 developers to build the first Digital Marketing Management Platform for YMCAs, JCCs and other operational nonprofits. From 2010-2013, they were the Founder of Extensible, a framework of custom components based on Ext JS. From 2001-2010, they were the Cofounder of ThinkFirst. In 2011, they worked as a part-time Developer for Sencha, Inc., where they wrote the backwards-compatibility layer that shipped with Ext 4. From 2007-2010, they owned Moeskau Photography, doing commercial and fine art photography. Finally, from 2006-2007, they were the Cofounder of Ext JS, where they grew the business from 0 employees and $0 revenue to about 15 employees and $1.5M in ARR. In 2005, they were a Software Architect (contract) for Accenture, leading the design and implementation of a new client-facing web application for Texas Medicaid recipients.

Brian Moeskau attended The University of Texas at Austin from 1990 to 1994, where they earned a BA in Plan II / Theirtory.
