Amy Strain Phr

Amy Strain has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources. Amy started their career in 1994 as a Program Manager and Site Supervisor at the Community Action Commission of Belmont County. From 2003 to 2006, they worked as a Resource and Referral Specialist at Early Childhood Alliance. In 2006, they held roles as a Community Relations Specialist at Kool Smiles and as a Manager/Human Resources at Bridgeport Equipment and Tool. From 2008 to 2011, they worked as a Human Resource Specialist at WesBanco. Since 2011, Amy has been working at Swisher, where they started as an HR Generalist and gradually grew in their roles to become an HR Manager. Currently, they serve as an HR Business Partner, managing and overseeing all HR functions at a regional manufacturing plant. Amy has extensive experience in recruitment, benefit administration, leave administration, safety compliance, performance management, employee relations, coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.

Amy Strain, PHR, SHRM-CP, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resources Management from the American InterContinental University. Amy also has an Associate of Arts degree in Human Services from Ohio University. In terms of additional certifications, Amy obtained the PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certification from the HR Certificate Institute in January 2012. Amy acquired the SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management - Certified Professional) certification in February 2015. Further, Amy obtained the OSHA 30 - General Industry certification in October 2014. Most recently, they acquired the Certified HR Business Partner certification from AIHR | Academy to Innovate HR in July 2023.
