Lorenzo Weibel has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Lorenzo began their career as an intern at Kuehne + Nagel in 2001 and Daimler AG in 2003. In 2006, they joined SR Technics Group as an Engine Test Cell Support & Performance Engineer and later became a Customer Support Engineer for CFM56 Engines. In 2007, they worked as a Dozent für Thermodynamik at Flugzeugtechnikerschule FTS until 2014.

Weibel then transitioned to the Lufthansa Group in 2017, where they held various senior positions, including Head of Flight Operations Analytics Group Airlines and Head of Flight Operations Efficiency Group Airlines. From 2020 to 2022, Weibel served as the Head of Flight Operations Engineering at both Swiss International Air Lines and Lufthansa Group. Lorenzo recently took on the role of Head of Flight Operations Policy, Procedures & Engineering at Swiss International Air Lines in April 2022.

Throughout their career, Weibel has displayed expertise in operational efficiency, analytics, engineering, and policy development within the airline industry.

Lorenzo Weibel completed their education from 1999 to 2006 at ETH Zürich, where they obtained a degree in Dipl. Masch.-Ing. / MSc ETH in the field of Maschinenbau und Verfahrenstechnik.
