Eliane Steiner

Eliane Steiner is a Junior Programme Analyst in Agroecology at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) since January 2024 and a Junior Programme Manager at SWISSAID since November 2022. Prior experience includes working as a Tour Guide for Grün Stadt Zürich, where educational tours focused on urban heat island reduction efforts, and as a Project Assistant at the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture FiBL, contributing to plant breeding projects. Eliane has also held roles as an Intern in Green Education and as a Research and Teaching Assistant at ETH Zürich, supporting various ecosystem management and carbon sink research initiatives. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Environmental Science from ETH Zürich and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Zurich, along with an exchange semester at the University of Copenhagen. Prior experiences also include an internship in agroforestry in Bolivia.
