Erik Hjelm

Erik Hjelm currently serves as the VP of Business Development North America at SwissDrones, beginning in September 2023. Prior experience includes a role as Regional Sales Director at Airbus from January 2015 to January 2021, where Erik led sales campaigns with airlines. Erik was the Vice President of International Business Development at iBiquity Digital Corporation between 2013 and 2015, focusing on promoting HD Radio Technology and engaging with foreign governments. Prior to this, Erik held the position of Vice President International Business Development at BAE Systems from 2005 to 2013, managing local offices in Latin America and Canada as well as developing multi-billion dollar campaigns. Erik's earlier roles at BAE Systems and ATR involved significant responsibilities in corporate strategy, sales, and marketing in the aviation industry, starting from the position of Marketing Analyst in 1992. Erik holds a Bachelor of Science degree with high honors in Aviation Management and Flight Technology from the Florida Institute of Technology, along with additional educational experience at Universidad Francisco Marroquín and Sigtunaskolan.
