Ulrich Amberg

Ulrich Amberg has extensive work experience spanning several companies and industries. Ulrich is currently the CEO of SwissDrones, a leading manufacturer and operator of long-range uncrewed helicopter systems. Prior to this, they worked as an entrepreneur, investor, and board member in multiple privately owned companies and start-ups.

Ulrich also has experience in strategy and management consulting through their role at Amberg Advisory, where they supported growing companies in shaping their strategy and business plans. Before that, they were a partner at KPMG, where they held various leadership positions, including Head of Consulting and Head of IT Advisory.

Their responsibilities at KPMG included managing teams, developing trusted relationships with senior executives, and expanding KPMG's business. Ulrich also played a key role in transforming the IT Advisory practice, focusing on global clients and larger engagements.

Earlier in their career, Ulrich worked as a Consultant/Senior Consultant in Technology Risk Consulting at Arthur Andersen. Ulrich also gained experience as a Junior Engineer in Product Management at Cerberus AG.

Ulrich Amberg has a diverse educational background. Ulrich began their education journey at HSR Hochschule für Technik Rapperswil from 1996 to 2000, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (dipl. Informatik-Ing.). Following this, from 2001 to 2003, they attended Private Hochschule Wirtschaft PHW, Zürich, for an Executive Master's in Business Administration (dipl. Wirtschaftsing.). In 2012 to 2013, Ulrich enrolled in the Corporate Leadership Development Program (KPMG EMA Chairman's 25 Program) at INSEAD. Lastly, in 2017, Ulrich Amberg attended Harvard Business School for the Advanced Management Program (AMP 193).
