Franz Steiner

Franz Steiner currently serves as the Head of SAS Projects at Swissgrid AG since August 2019. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Project Director at GE Renewable Energy from September 2012 to June 2019 and Site Installation Manager for Germanic projects at Alstom between October 2009 and August 2012. Earlier in the career, Franz worked at ABB from December 1993 to December 2008, holding various positions such as Regional Focus Factory Manager, Project Manager, Change Project Manager, Commissioning Engineer, and Site Manager. Educational qualifications include an Executive MBA in Intercultural Management from Private Hochschschule Wirtschaft (2002-2005) and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW (1990-1993).
