Marcel Lenzin

Marcel Lenzin has extensive work experience in the field of grid delivery and automation. Marcel is currently the Head of Grid Delivery at Swissgrid AG since October 2019. Prior to this, they worked at ABB HUB Business Unit MEA, Grid Automation, where they held multiple roles including Business Development Manager and Operation and Opex Manager for the Middle East and Africa region from 2016 to 2019.

Before that, Marcel worked at ABB Grid Automation, Lead Center, where they served as the Head of Substation Automation Systems Engineering & Testing and Head of SAS Engineering & Testing for Switzerland and Germany. Marcel also worked as the Team Manager for System Integration of Substation Automation Systems from 2006 to 2009.

Marcel started their career at ABB Network Control in 1997 and held various roles including Team Manager, Project Manager, Software and Commissioning Engineer, and Hardware and Commissioning Engineer until 2006.

Marcel Lenzin began their education in 1989 with a Lehre und Berufsmatura in Elektro-Mechaniker from Sprecher & Schuh, which they completed in 1993. Marcel then pursued a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) from 1994 to 1997. Following this, they embarked on a Bachelor of Business Administration in General Management from FHNW, which they obtained in 2001.
