Artsiom Karabanau

Artsiom Karabanau has extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management. Artsiom started their career at EFG Inflight Ltd., where they held various roles, including Duty Manager, Procurement Manager, and Director of Operations. During their time at EFG Inflight, Artsiom successfully restructured operations, reduced labor costs, optimized warehouse operations, and managed external stakeholder relationships.

Artsiom then joined Qatar Airways as a Supply Chain Manager, where they were responsible for managing procurement and supply chain functions for the catering division. Artsiom oversaw purchases with an annual value above QAR 400 million and ensured smooth operations in a dynamic 24/7 environment.

Artsiom later transitioned to Swissport, where they held several key positions. As the Head of Regional Procurement for the MEA & Asia regions, they focused on organizing procurement, reinforcing corporate governance, and developing strategies for regional procurement categories. Artsiom also led the transformation of the procurement function as the Chief Procurement Officer, implementing a new target operating model and driving cost reduction and digitalization initiatives. In their most recent role as the Head of Direct Procurement, Artsiom was responsible for strategy development and category management for various direct categories globally.

Throughout their career, Artsiom has demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a focus on operational efficiency and cost reduction.

Artsiom Karabanau has a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Economics & Industrial Management from Gomel Technical University P.O. Suhogo, obtained from 1997 to 2002. Artsiom also has a degree in Accountancy (FCCA) from ACCA, acquired from 2007 to 2010. Additionally, Artsiom has a professional certification in Procurement and Supply Chain (MCIPS) from CIPS - The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply, obtained in 2020. Artsiom is also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), which they attained in 2011. Furthermore, Artsiom has a certification in Finance (FCCA) from ACCA, although the specific dates of acquisition are undisclosed.
